Summer Program Teacher Position

Home Beneath Our Feet’s Summer Growth Program teacher is responsible for leading classroom activities at Summer Program.

Pay rate $20.00 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate fully in weeklong classes.

• Manage class resources.

• Report any and all accidents/incidents to the Executive Director.

• Maintain a classroom climate which nurtures and supports a learning environment.

• Ensure students safety during class activities.

• Utilize help from Classroom aide and interns.

• Monitor and assist with snack breaks.

• Monitor and assist with Breakfast and lunch.

• Attend program orientation meeting and 1 post camp meeting.

• Fill out and return weekly Summer Camp Evaluations.

• Report to the Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must have two or more year’s education experience working with either elementary or middle school children. Candidate is expected to be professional at all times. Candidate must support and practice imaginative, engaging and learner-centered education and be able to work individually and collaboratively in team environment.

Schedule: Program starts July 8^th and goes through August 16^th. Teachers are expected to be at program by 8:00am and stay until 2:30-3:00pm Monday - Thursday. Friday’s will be until 3:30 to go over the week and prepare for the upcoming week.

Summer Program Teacher’s Aide Position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher's Aide to join our team. As a Teacher's Aide, you will work with students ages 7 to 12 years. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in childhood development and education.

Pay Rate $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

· Work with the lead teacher in creating an engaging culture in each classroom

· Help ensure the health and safety of our students

· Engage in learning activities, and help maintain daily schedules

· Provide one-on-one support to students who may require additional assistance

· Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies

· Monitor and assist with snack breaks

· Monitor and assist with Breakfast and lunch

· Attend program orientation meeting
